The Short Answer
Pixieset is a studio suite. It sells client galleries, a print store, proofing, a website, and a studio manager, and it prices the gallery by plan. Wedibox Drops does one job. It delivers a finished wedding to the couple as one link, with photos and video in the same gallery, your name and logo on it, and the originals ready to download.
Pick Wedibox Drops if you deliver weddings, shoot video, upload from your phone, and want your work to live inside the gallery the couple already keeps. Pick Pixieset if you sell prints from the gallery, need a proofing round before the edit, want galleries and a website and a CRM from one vendor, or keep more than 3 TB online.
On price, Drops wins at the entry level and Pixieset wins at 1 TB. Drops is $9 a month for 100 GB. Pixieset Plus is $20 a month for the same 100 GB, or $16 billed yearly. At 1 TB, Pixieset Pro is $30 a month against $34 on Drops. The rest of this page shows the work.
What Each Product Is
Pixieset started as a client gallery and grew into a suite. The Client Gallery is the part this page compares. It comes in five plans, Free through Ultimate, and the plan sets your storage, how many hours of video you can host, whether the Pixieset name shows on your galleries, and whether the store charges a commission. The website builder and the studio manager are separate products, sold alone or together in the Pixieset Suite.
Wedibox Drops is the delivery tool inside Wedibox, the guest photo app used at 100,000+ weddings. A drop is one wedding. You create it, upload from your phone or import a folder, pick the opening and the palette, and publish. The couple gets one link. They open it on any phone or laptop with no app, watch the film in full quality, and download the originals when you allow it. There is one paid plan. Only the storage size changes the price, from 100 GB at $9 a month to 3 TB at $54, and every size includes the same tools and unlimited drops. Video Is Where the Two Part Ways
Pixieset counts video in hours. Basic includes 30 minutes in HD. Plus includes 1 hour in HD. Pro includes 2 hours in 4K, and Ultimate includes 5 hours in 4K. Each extra hour costs $5 a month. The Free plan does not list video at all.
Wedibox Drops counts video in gigabytes, the same way it counts photos. Every storage size includes 4K originals up to 20 GB per file. Nothing is compressed. The drop plays a lighter copy for smooth viewing, and the couple downloads the file you uploaded.
Here is what that means for one wedding. Say you deliver a 4 minute highlight film and a 60 minute full edit, both in 4K, exported at 50 megabits per second. That is about 24 GB of video. On Drops it uses 24 GB of your 100 GB. On Pixieset it needs the Pro plan, because 4K starts there, and it uses a little over 1 hour of the 2 hours included. Three such weddings are about 72 GB on Drops, still inside the base plan at $9 a month. On Pixieset they are a little over 3 hours, past the Pro cap, so you pay $30 a month for Pro plus $5 a month for each extra hour, or step up to Ultimate at $50.
If you shoot photos only, this section does not change your decision. If you shoot any video, it probably does.
Where the Couple Opens It
A Pixieset gallery is a standalone link, with a mobile gallery app on every plan. The couple opens it, downloads what they want, and over time the link gets buried with the rest of the wedding emails.
A drop opens inside the Wedibox gallery the couple already keeps. A couple new to Wedibox gets a free event on the spot. A couple already on Wedibox finds your drop at the top of the gallery they own, in its own section, above the photos their guests uploaded with the wedding QR code. The two never mix. Your work stays on top with your name on it, and the couple comes back to that gallery for years, because it holds everything from the day.
That is the one thing on this page Pixieset cannot do, and it is the reason Drops exists. The loop below shows the gallery as the couple sees it: your section appears first, then the guest uploads collect under it.

Every Wedibox drop carries your brand name, your handle, and your logo, at every paid size. You pick one of eight openings, one of twelve palettes, and the fonts. What It Costs Over a Year
Pixieset gives a discount for paying yearly, so the fair comparison runs both ways. At 100 GB, Pixieset Plus is $240 a year paid monthly or $192 paid yearly. Wedibox Drops at 100 GB is $108 paid monthly or $90 paid yearly, since yearly billing is 10 months for 12.
At 1 TB the order flips. Pixieset Pro is $360 a year paid monthly or $288 paid yearly. Drops at 1 TB is $408 paid monthly or $340 paid yearly. If you need a terabyte and shoot no video, Pixieset is cheaper. If you shoot video, go back to the hours section before you decide, because the extra hour fees are not in these totals.

Where Pixieset Is the Better Choice

Print and product sales
Pixieset includes a store. The Free plan takes a 15% commission on sales, and every paid plan sells commission free. Wedibox Drops has no store. If a share of your income comes from prints, albums, or products sold from the gallery, Pixieset handles that and Drops does not.
Client proofing and selections
Pixieset lets clients mark favorites and send selections back to you. Drops has favorites with a heart count, but it is built for the final delivery, not for the proofing round. If your workflow needs a client pick before the edit, Pixieset fits it.
One suite for the whole studio

Nothing has to move on day one. Keep Pixieset running until the last gallery there is delivered and downloaded, and start new weddings on Drops. When you are ready to bring the archive over, it goes like this.

Download each gallery at full resolution into a folder in Dropbox or Google Drive, one folder per wedding. Pixieset does not publish a direct transfer, so the folder is the bridge.

Wedibox copies the files on its own servers, so nothing passes through your phone, and each wedding lands as a drop ready to publish. Imported files count toward your storage.

Pick a cover, a palette, and your fonts. Add your logo. Publish with or without an email, and send the couple one link.

Close the old plan last
Cancel Pixieset only after every couple has the new link. A monthly Drops plan ends at the close of the billing month, so there is no reason to overlap longer than you need.
