The Short Answer

A drop as the couple opens it. The creator credit sits under the names.

ShootProof is a sales and business tool with galleries at the center. It sells client galleries with a print store that takes no commission, contracts, invoicing, a booking add-on, and a portfolio site, and it prices the gallery by storage. Wedibox Drops does one job. It delivers a finished wedding to the couple as one link, with photos and video in the same gallery, your name and logo on it, and the originals ready to download.

Pick Wedibox Drops if you deliver weddings, shoot video, upload from your phone, and want your work to live inside the gallery the couple already keeps. Pick ShootProof if you sell prints and products from the gallery, want contracts and invoices beside it, need client proofing with favorites and labels, or keep an unlimited photo archive online.

On price, Drops wins at 100 GB and ShootProof wins at 1 TB for photos. Drops is $9 a month for 100 GB. ShootProof Standard is $19.99 a month for 100 GB, or $16.67 billed yearly. At 1 TB, ShootProof Professional is $31.99 a month against $34 on Drops, but it caps video at 50 GB on that plan. The rest of this page shows the work.

What Each Product Is

ShootProof has sold client galleries since 2010 and built a business suite around them. The plans page lists five plans, Free through Premium, and the only thing that changes between the paid plans is storage. Every plan is white labeled, sells prints and products with no commission, and includes a simple portfolio website. Contracts, invoicing with tipping, and multiple brands start at the Starter plan. Online booking is an add-on at $6.99 a month on any plan. On the day this page was checked, the plans page ran a Cyber November sale of 50% off the first year, through December 1, 2026. The prices on this page are the regular ones.

Wedibox Drops is the delivery tool inside Wedibox, the guest photo app used at 100,000+ weddings. A drop is one wedding. You create it, upload from your phone or import a folder, pick the opening and the palette, and publish. The couple gets one link. They open it on any phone or laptop with no app, watch the film in full quality, and download the originals when you allow it. There is one paid plan. Only the storage size changes the price, from 100 GB at $9 a month to 3 TB at $54, and every size includes the same tools and unlimited drops. Video Has Its Own Cap on ShootProof

The Media tab on a phone mid-upload: a card reading Uploading 0 of 8 with a progress bar, a Pause button, and two files uploading into the Ceremony album
Uploads run in the background from your phone and resume after a dropped signal.

ShootProof supports video up to 4K on every paid plan, and the galleries page says you can deliver finished videos beside the photo gallery. The catch is in the storage line. Starter gives 20 GB for photo and video together. Standard gives 100 GB for both. Professional gives 1000 GB for photos but only 50 GB for video. Premium gives unlimited photos but 150 GB for video. Video archiving starts at $2.99 a month on top. The Free plan does not support video at all.

Wedibox Drops counts video in gigabytes, the same way it counts photos, with no separate video line. Every storage size includes 4K originals up to 20 GB per file. Nothing is compressed. The drop plays a lighter copy for smooth viewing, and the couple downloads the file you uploaded.

Here is what that means for one wedding. Say you deliver a 4 minute highlight film and a 60 minute full edit, both in 4K, exported at 50 megabits per second. That is about 24 GB of video. On Drops it uses 24 GB of your storage, whatever size you chose. On ShootProof Professional, two such weddings fill the 50 GB video allowance, and the third has nowhere to go. Premium holds six at $60 a month. Drops at 1 TB holds about forty, at $34 a month.

If you shoot photos only, ShootProof Professional is the cheaper terabyte and this section does not change your decision. If you shoot any video, it probably does.

Your Brand on Every Gallery

ShootProof white labels every plan, including Free. Your branding, logo, and watermark are included from the first gallery, and the plans page says so plainly. On this point the two products agree.

Every Wedibox drop carries your brand name, your handle, and your logo, at every paid size. You pick one of eight openings, one of twelve palettes, and the fonts. You choose the cover, sort the files into albums, and write a note to the couple. The preview updates as you type. Three of the eight openings are below.

What It Costs Over a Year

ShootProof gives a discount for paying yearly, so the fair comparison runs both ways, at the regular prices rather than the sale. At 100 GB, ShootProof Standard is $239.88 a year paid monthly or $200 paid yearly. Wedibox Drops at 100 GB is $108 paid monthly or $90 paid yearly, since yearly billing is 10 months for 12.

At 1 TB the order flips for photos. ShootProof Professional is $383.88 a year paid monthly or $320 paid yearly. Drops at 1 TB is $408 paid monthly or $340 paid yearly. If you need a terabyte of photos and shoot no video, ShootProof is cheaper. If you shoot video, go back to the video section before you decide, because the 50 GB video cap and the archive fee are not in these totals.

Both tables below are the published regular prices on the day this page was checked.

Where ShootProof Is the Better Choice

A comparison that concedes nothing convinces nobody. These are the real cases where ShootProof is the right call. If you are weighing Pixieset too, the Pixieset comparison runs the same questions.

Print and product sales with no commission

ShootProof includes a store on every plan, Free included, and takes no commission on sales. Wedibox Drops has no store. If a share of your income comes from prints, albums, or products sold from the gallery, ShootProof handles that and Drops does not.

Contracts, invoices, and booking in one place

ShootProof bundles e-sign contracts and invoicing with tipping from the Starter plan, and sells online booking as a $6.99 a month add-on with landing pages, questionnaires, and calendar sync. Drops is the delivery only. A photographer who wants the paperwork beside the gallery gets that from ShootProof.

Client proofing and selections

ShootProof lets clients preview, proof, and select images with favorites and labels. Drops has favorites with a heart count, but it is built for the final delivery, not for the proofing round. If your workflow needs a client pick before the edit, ShootProof fits it.

Unlimited photo archives

ShootProof Premium offers unlimited photo storage at $60 a month, or $50 billed yearly, with photo archiving included. Wedibox Drops tops out at 3 TB. A studio that keeps every wedding online for years, with no limit, is better served by the unlimited plan.

How to Move From ShootProof to Wedibox Drops

The Share tab on a phone right after publishing: the Drop link wedibox.com/d/sofia-reyes-films/maya-and-jordan with Copy link and Send by email buttons, and the How it is going stats
The link carries your studio name first, then the wedding.

Nothing has to move on day one. Keep ShootProof running until the last gallery there is delivered and downloaded, and start new weddings on Drops. When you are ready to bring the archive over, it goes like this.

  1. Start your free drop

Sign up with no card. Your first drop includes 20 GB and 30 days to upload and edit, and the couple keeps it after that.

  2. Export the originals from ShootProof

Download each gallery at full resolution into a folder in Dropbox or Google Drive, one folder per wedding. ShootProof does not publish a direct transfer, so the folder is the bridge.

  3. Connect the folder in Drops

Wedibox copies the files on its own servers, so nothing passes through your phone, and each wedding lands as a drop ready to publish. Imported files count toward your storage.

  4. Publish under your brand

Pick a cover, a palette, and your fonts. Add your logo. Publish with or without an email, and send the couple one link.

  5. Close the old plan last

Cancel ShootProof only after every couple has the new link and any print orders have shipped. A monthly Drops plan ends at the close of the billing month, so there is no reason to overlap longer than you need.

Questions Photographers Ask Before Switching

Help center
Is Wedibox Drops a free ShootProof alternative?

Your first drop is free, with 20 GB and 30 days to upload and edit, no card. The couple keeps viewing and downloading it after that. ShootProof's free plan includes 100 photos, unlimited galleries, your branding, and commission free sales, with no video. For the free tier, Drops gives one wedding with video and ShootProof gives more galleries with fewer photos.

Is Wedibox Drops cheaper than ShootProof?

It depends on the storage you need and whether you shoot video. At 100 GB, Drops is $9 a month and ShootProof Standard is $19.99 a month, or $16.67 billed yearly. At 1 TB, ShootProof Professional is $31.99 a month and Drops is $34, but Professional caps video at 50 GB. Drops counts video like any other file at every size.

Is ShootProof or Pixieset better?

ShootProof and Pixieset are close to each other. Both sell client galleries with print stores and proofing, priced by plan, and ShootProof adds contracts and invoicing from its first paid plan. Wedibox Drops is the different option. It skips the store and the proofing round and delivers photos and video in one gallery the couple keeps, with your name on it. If you need a store, compare those two. If you need delivery, compare either one with Drops.

Does Wedibox Drops have a print store?

No. Drops delivers the finished photos and video. The couple views them, downloads the originals you allow, and shares the link with family. If print sales matter to your business, ShootProof or Pixieset is the better fit for that part of the job.

Can I move my ShootProof galleries to Wedibox Drops?

Yes. Download the originals from ShootProof into a Dropbox or Google Drive folder, then connect that folder in Drops. Wedibox copies the files on its own servers, so nothing passes through your phone, and each wedding lands as a drop ready to publish. Imported files count toward your storage.

Does the couple need an account to open a drop?

No. The link opens on any phone or laptop with no app. A couple new to Wedibox gets a free event on the spot. A couple already on Wedibox finds your drop at the top of the gallery they own, above the photos their guests uploaded.

Does Wedibox Drops compress photos or video?

No. Every file is stored as you uploaded it, up to 4K and up to 20 GB per file. The drop plays a lighter copy for smooth viewing, and the couple downloads the original when you allow it.
