How favorites and creator picks work in a drop

For creatorsDrops account

A drop has three kinds of marks. The couple hearts the photos and clips they love. You star creator picks to point them at your best frames. And you can heart files for your own list, which the couple never sees. This page explains where each one lives and what each side can see.

Plan: Drops account · Where: drop page → Media tab → Filter, and the drop page the couple opens

What the couple does

  1. They tap the heart. On any photo or clip in the drop, the heart sits in the upper right corner of the thumbnail and in the viewer. One tap saves it; another removes it.

  2. Their hearts come back next time. The hint on their side reads “Your selections are shared with the creator and available when you return in this browser.” A new device starts with an empty list.

  3. They can filter to favorites. The Filter button on the drop page switches between All files, Creator picks, and Your favorites.

What you see

  1. Open the drop’s Media tab and click Filter. Choose Client favorites. The hint reads “Files your clients have favorited. The heart count shows how many visitors selected each file.”

  2. Read the count. Each file carries “Selected by [n] visitors”. Several guests or family members opening the drop can heart the same file, so the count is visitors, not couples.

  3. Star your creator picks. Back on All files, tap the star in the upper right corner of a thumbnail to mark it as a creator pick, or Remove creator pick to undo. The couple sees the star as they browse and can filter to Creator picks.

  4. Keep your own favorites. The heart on your side saves to Your favorites, a private list the couple does not see. You can save up to 5,000.

What you should see

With Client favorites selected and nothing hearted yet, the tab reads “No client favorites here yet”. Once the couple starts tapping, files appear in the order they were hearted, each with its count. Creator picks show a filled star on your side and on theirs.

If something goes wrong

  • “Could not save your favorite. Your previous selection is unchanged.” The connection dropped mid tap. Tap again.
  • The couple’s hearts are gone on a new phone. Favorites are kept per browser on their side. The hearts still count on your Client favorites tab.
  • “You can save up to 5,000 favorites.” Your own list is full. Remove a few.
