Fix a stuck or paused upload

For creatorsDrops account

The uploader never throws away work: every part that reached Wedibox stays there, and the summary card tells you why it stopped. Find the heading you see below. In every case the first line of the card, “x of y files are safe. Nothing is lost.”, means what it says.

Plan: Drops account · Where: drop page → Media tab → summary card

“Paused. The connection dropped.”

Your phone or laptop lost its network. The upload resumes on its own when you are back online.

  1. Reconnect to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
  2. If the card does not move within a minute, click Retry now.

“x files need choosing again”

The browser was reloaded or closed and could not keep the file bytes in memory. This happens to larger clips, especially on iPhone, where the browser can only hold files up to about 256 MB between reloads.

  1. Scroll to the file rows reading “Choose this file again”.
  2. Click Choose file on each row and pick the same file from your phone or computer.
  3. The upload continues from where it stopped; parts already uploaded are not sent again.

“Your session ended”

Sign-ins last 8 hours. If a long upload outlives yours, the queue waits.

  1. Click Sign in on the card, or on the “Uploads are waiting for you.” banner at the top of any page.
  2. In the Sign in to keep uploading sheet, enter your password and click Sign in and continue.
  3. The queue resumes without losing any parts.

“Not enough room”

The files in the queue would push you over your storage size. The card shows how much you have used and how much more these files need.

  1. Click Remove on files you can leave out, or delete files from other drops.
  2. Or click Get more room to pick a bigger storage size under Billing, then click Retry now.

“Uploads are paused” with your plan state

Your subscription is canceled, past due, or not active. Drops you published stay readable for the couples; uploads wait.

  1. Click See your plan.
  2. Update the card under Manage billing and invoices, or pick a plan, then come back and click Retry now.

“The upload kept failing. Try again.”

Five attempts on one part failed in a row, usually on a flaky connection.

  1. Click Try again on that file’s row.
  2. If it keeps failing, click Pause, move to a stronger connection, and click Resume.

Uploads stop when my iPhone locks

iOS pauses browser uploads in the background. The card shows “Keep this screen open while clips upload.”

  1. Keep Wedibox open and the screen on until the card reads “x files are in”. Turn up the auto-lock delay in iOS Settings → Display & Brightness.
  2. If it did pause, reopen the tab; the queue wakes up and continues.

“This browser could not read its saved upload list.”

The browser’s local storage was cleared or is blocked (private browsing does this).

  1. Reload the page once.
  2. If it repeats, open the drop in a normal browser window and add the files again. Files that already finished are in the drop.
