How to add Wedibox to a Canva website

Canva websites don’t accept pasted HTML, but the Canva Embed app takes an iFrame link, and Wedibox gives you one made for exactly this. Paste a single web address and the photo sharing widget sits right on your Canva page. Guests upload photos and browse the gallery without ever leaving your site.

Before you start

  • Have your Canva wedding website design set up and know how to log in at canva.com.
  • The Free embed plan (up to 50 uploads) is enough to set up and test.

Steps

  1. Create your Wedibox photo collection. Go to wedibox.com/w/embed/setup, select Canva as your platform, enter your event name and date, and create your free account. A step-by-step Canva walkthrough appears on the code screen.

  2. Copy your iFrame address. On the Add to Your Website step the iFrame option is already selected for Canva. Copy only the web address that comes after src= in the code box. It starts with https://embed.wedibox.com. As the app notes: “In Canva, open the Embed app and paste only the address after src=, not the full code.” The same view is always available later on your dashboard’s Add to website tab.

  3. Open the Embed app in Canva. In your Canva wedding website design, click Apps in the left panel, type “embed” in the search box, and open the Embed app.

  4. Add the address to your design. Paste the Wedibox address into the Embed app’s Web link field and click Add to design. The widget appears on your page. Drag the corners to resize and position it; give it the full content width if you can.   5. Publish and test. Click Publish changes in Canva’s top bar, open your site on your phone, and do a test upload from the widget’s Share Your Photos button.

What you should see

The upload widget renders right on your Canva page, matching your accent color. Test uploads appear in the widget’s gallery and on your embed dashboard, and your Canva site’s domain shows up in the Overview tab’s Active Installations card once the page has been viewed.

If something goes wrong

  • Canva says it can’t embed the link. Make sure you pasted only the address after src= (starting with https://embed.wedibox.com), not the full iFrame code with the angle brackets.
  • The widget is cut off. Enlarge the embed element in the Canva editor. The widget reports its own height, but the element sets the maximum space it can use.
  • Guests see “Uploads are currently closed”. On the Free plan uploads are open right away; on a paid plan check your upload window dates in the Event Timeline card on your dashboard’s Overview tab.
