Embed plans and claiming your widget

The embed widget is its own product with its own plans, separate from the main Wedibox plans. Everything starts free, upgrades are one-time payments (no subscription), and a widget can even be installed on a website before anyone has created an account, then claimed later.

Upgrade from the Plan tab of your embed event: click Upgrade to Starter or Upgrade to Premium. When you pay, you choose Start Now (“Your upload window begins immediately after payment.”) or Schedule for Later and pick an Upload Start Date. Schedule it so your 3- or 12-month upload window covers the wedding, not the months before it. On paid plans the Overview tab’s Event Timeline card then shows Uploads Open, Uploads Close, and Storage Expires, with a Change Dates button available until uploads begin (“Dates are locked once uploads begin.”).

Choose Free if… you’re testing, or a small event where 50 uploads is genuinely enough. Choose Starter if… you want unlimited uploads around a single wedding date; it’s the popular pick. Choose Premium if… you want the widget live across a long engagement (showers, parties, the wedding) or simply want photos kept longer.

Claiming a widget installed before signup

The widget works from an event ID in its code, which means a code can be placed on a website before the matching account exists (a sample snippet, or a site built by a planner or web designer). In that case the widget shows an activation form right on the website:

1. Where the widget sits, you’ll see Activate Your Photo Widget and “Set up your photo collection in seconds.”
2. Fill in Event Name, Event Date, Your Name, Email, and a Password (minimum 6 characters), then click Activate.
3. On success you’ll see “You’re all set! Your photo collection is live.” and the widget reloads, ready for uploads. Your email and password now log you in at wedibox.com, where the event’s embed dashboard is waiting.

FAQ

Is this the same as the main Wedibox plans? No. Free/Starter/Premium belong to the embed product only. The main product’s plans (Free, Wedding, All-in-One) cover the full Wedibox event page.

What happens when the Free plan hits 50 uploads? Guests see “Upload limit reached” and can’t add more until you upgrade. Nothing already uploaded is lost.

“This email is already registered” during activation? The email has a Wedibox account. Log in at wedibox.com to manage your events instead of activating with that address.

What happens when storage expires on a paid plan? Download everything first: the Request Zipped Folder action on the Overview tab packages your whole collection for download.
