How the free trial works (and what activation changes)

Wedibox is free to start, with no card and no time limit. The important thing to understand: on the free plan you can build everything (the page, the RSVP form, the seating chart, the guestbook), but some of it stays host-only until a plan makes it live for guests. Nothing you build is ever lost.
What the free plan includes
- Your wedding page, live at your link, fully customizable.
- Your QR code and shareable link, downloadable from day one. The code never changes.
- Guest photo uploads, up to 50 uploads. The app counts them for you: the Overview banner reads “X of 50 uploads used”, your card on Your events shows “X of 50 used” once the first upload lands, and the Photos & video page adds a progress card from upload 35 (“X of 50 free uploads used”) that turns into “Your guests won’t stop at 50.” when the cap is reached.
- Co-organizers, free on every plan.
- Full build access to every feature, so setup is never blocked.
What’s waiting on a plan
On the free plan, guests can’t yet use everything you’ve built. As the app puts it: RSVP replies, seat lookup, messages, voicemails, and your website sections unlock with a plan; everything you built is saved.

What activation actually does
Activating means choosing a paid plan, Wedding ($49: 6-month upload window, 1 year of storage) or All-In-One ($79: 1-year upload window, 2 years of storage), and deciding when your upload window opens:
- Start on your wedding day: the recommended choice when your date is still ahead. Uploads open on the wedding date and run for your full window while guests are there.
- Activate Now: guests can start uploading immediately.
- Schedule for Later: pick your own date. Your upload window and your storage period start on that date, not on the day you pay. You lose nothing by buying early.
The checkout prints the exact dates before you pay (“Uploads {start} to {end}” and “Stored and downloadable until {date}”), and every purchase carries a 14-day money-back guarantee.
One payment, no subscription. Downgrades aren’t a thing; you only ever move up.
Choose your moment
- Stay on Free if you’re still exploring, your wedding is far out, or 50 uploads is genuinely enough (small elopement, courthouse day).
- Activate before you print or share if you want guests to see messages, voicemails, RSVP, seating, or website sections the first time they scan. The code is the same, but what it opens gets better.
FAQ
Does the free plan expire? No. Your page and everything you’ve built stay saved until you’re ready.
What happens at upload 50? Uploads pause with a limit-reached notice. Upgrade and the counter goes away; nothing already uploaded is touched.
Why does the app keep nudging me as the wedding gets closer? Because the code you print will be scanned on the day, and uploads need somewhere to go. From 60 days out, the Overview banner counts down (“Your wedding is in X days”) and reminds you that upgrading now starts your window on the wedding date, not today. Once every setup task is done, the checklist card turns into “Your page is ready.” with a See plans button. The first time you download your QR code on the free plan, a one-time note says the same thing.
If I activate today with a future date, when does my year start? On the date you chose. The Overview will show “All set. Your year starts on your wedding day” with the exact open date.
Do I lose my RSVP form or seating chart if I never upgrade? No. They stay in your dashboard, editable. Guests just can’t submit replies or look up seats until All-in-One.
