How to add Wedibox to a WithJoy website

Embed widgetEmbed widget

WithJoy (Joy) wedding websites don’t accept custom code, so the Wedibox widget can’t be embedded directly. Instead, Wedibox gives you a link integration: a shareable link to your photo collection page, where guests upload photos and browse the gallery. You add that link to your Joy site.

Plan: Embed widget · Where: wedibox.com/w/embed/setup → select WithJoy

Before you start

  • Have your WithJoy website set up and know how to open its editor.
  • The Free embed plan (up to 50 uploads) is enough to set up and test.

Steps

  1. Create your Wedibox photo collection. Go to wedibox.com/w/embed/setup, select WithJoy as your platform, enter your event name and date, and create your free account. Because Joy can’t host code, Wedibox prepares your shareable link instead of a snippet.

  2. Copy your photo page link. On the Add to Your Website step, click Copy. The link looks like wedibox.com/w/photo-collection/your-names, and a step-by-step walkthrough for WithJoy appears on the same screen.

  3. Add the link to your Joy site. In the WithJoy editor, open a page guests will visit (a custom page, your FAQ, or your schedule notes) and paste the link with a label that invites action, like “Upload your photos from the day.”

  4. Publish and test. Publish your Joy site, open it on your phone, tap the link, and do a test upload from the Share Your Photos button.

What you should see

The link opens your photo collection page: your names, your date, an upload button, and the gallery. Uploads flow to your embed dashboard, and the Active Installations card on the Overview tab records the page where your link lives. For the reception itself, download your QR code with the Download button in the QR card on the Overview tab and put it on the tables. That’s how most guests will reach the page.

If something goes wrong

  • Joy has its own photo feature and guests get confused. Hide or skip Joy’s photo section so there’s one obvious place to upload, and label your Wedibox link clearly.
  • Guests see “Uploads are currently closed”. On a paid plan, check your upload window dates in the Event Timeline card on your dashboard’s Overview tab.
