How to moderate photos during the event
Live slideshowWedding plan and upWedding day
A hundred guests with cameras means the occasional photo you’d rather not have on a six-foot screen: blurry, unflattering, or just not the vibe. You can remove any upload from your phone in the middle of the reception. The one thing to understand is timing: the gallery updates instantly, but the venue screen holds its current rotation until it’s reloaded.
Plan: Wedding plan and up · Where: Sidebar → Photos & video (under “Memories”)
Before you start
- Deleting an upload is permanent; there’s no trash folder. If you only want something off guests’ screens (not gone), hide its album instead of deleting.
- Assign a moderator. You’ll be busy getting married; a co-organizer or the person running the screen can do everything below.
Steps
-
Open Photos & video on your phone. In the sidebar, click Photos & video (under “Memories”). New uploads land here as guests send them, newest additions with them.

-
Find the photo. Scroll the gallery, or narrow it down with the album selector and the Photos / Videos filters.
-
Delete it. Click the trash icon on the photo’s tile (or open the photo and use the trash icon there), then confirm “Are you sure you want to delete this upload?” It’s gone from the gallery and guest page immediately.

-
Several at once? Use Select. Click Select, tap each offending upload, then Delete selected. One confirmation covers the batch.

-
Refresh the venue screen. The slideshow adds new photos on its own, but photos already in its rotation stay until the page reloads. Have whoever runs the screen reload the browser page (or you reopen the live link), then click Start the slideshow again. The deleted photo is now out of the rotation.
-
Prefer hiding to deleting? To keep a photo but keep it private, move it to an album guests can’t see: edit the album and turn off its PUBLIC VISIBILITY toggle (hidden albums show a Hidden badge). Hidden albums never enter the slideshow rotation. Same rule as deleting: reload the venue screen to apply it to a show already running.
What you should see
The upload disappears from your gallery and your guests’ view right away, and from the big screen after the reload. Total time, including walking to the DJ booth: about a minute.
If something goes wrong
- The photo is still on the big screen: the venue screen hasn’t been reloaded yet. The rotation deliberately never reshuffles mid-show, so removals only apply on reload.
- You deleted the wrong photo: deletion is permanent, and the guest’s original is still on their phone. Ask them to upload it again.
