Who can see what: privacy on Wedibox
AccountAll plans
Your wedding page is built to be easy for guests and private from everyone else. This is the whole map in one place: what’s visible to whom, and the switch that controls each piece.
The map
| Content | Who can see it | The control |
|---|---|---|
| Your event page | Anyone with the link or QR code | Unlisted by default (see below) |
| Guest photo and video uploads | Everyone on your page, or only you | Hide live feed from guests |
| Who uploaded what (names) | Shown with uploads, unless anonymous | Allow anonymous uploads |
| Uploading itself | Anyone on the page, or password-holders | Require password to upload |
| Albums you’ve hidden | Only you and co-organizers | Album PUBLIC VISIBILITY toggle |
| Written messages and voicemails | Only you and co-organizers | Always private, never shown on the page |
| RSVP responses and guest list | Only you and co-organizers | Always private |
| Everything, with edit rights | Co-organizers you invite | The People menu |
Your page is unlisted, not public
The page lives at your event link, and only people who have that link or scan your code can open it. Wedibox doesn’t publish a directory of events, and event pages are kept out of search engine indexes, so “someone googles your names” is not how anyone finds it.
The practical privacy line is simple: share the link with the people you want there.
The guest upload controls
On the Photos & video page, the Guest upload controls panel holds the three switches (changes save automatically):
- Allow anonymous uploads: “Guests can share without entering their name.” Off means every upload carries a name; on lets shy guests skip it.
- Hide live feed from guests: “Guests can still upload, but only you can see the gallery.” The strongest setting: uploading stays open, browsing becomes yours alone.
- Require password to upload: “Guests must enter a password before sharing.” Set
the Upload password (something easy to put on a sign, like
forever2026) and only people who have it can add anything.
The same three controls also live in your event’s settings: open the event menu at the top of the sidebar and click Settings.

Hidden albums
Any album can be hidden from guests: open the album’s settings and turn off PUBLIC VISIBILITY. Hidden albums show a Hidden badge for you and simply don’t exist for guests, useful for a private collection or anything you’re still curating.
What co-organizers see
Co-organizers see and edit everything (page, uploads, messages, RSVPs) without ever needing your password. Invite only people you’d hand the keys to; add them under People in the event menu.
Choose your setup
- Choose the defaults if you want the classic shared gallery: everyone sees the photos, names attached.
- Choose hide-uploads if you want to review everything before anyone else sees it, or want the gallery to stay a private archive.
- Choose a password if your QR code will hang somewhere semi-public and you want uploads limited to actual guests.
FAQ
Can guests see each other’s messages or voicemails? No. Messages and voicemails go straight to your Guestbook page in the host portal. Guests only ever see the buttons to leave one.
Can guests delete or edit anything? No. Removing or moving content is yours (and your co-organizers’) alone.
If I hide the live feed, can guests still upload? Yes, that’s the point of the setting. Upload stays one tap; viewing is host-only.
Does a custom link change privacy?
No. A custom link (like wedibox.com/w/sam-and-alex) is easier to guess than a random
one, so if that worries you, add an ending such as a short code when you reserve it.
